CHRISTOPHER CREEK -- THE PLACE
A charming mountain community that is nestled under
the Mogollon Rim in the forested high country of
North-Central Arizona just 22 miles east of Payson,
Arizona in the heart of the Tonto National Forest
recreation area. Christopher Creek is located on the
banks of spring-fed Christopher Creek in the midst of the
largest Ponderosa Pine forest in the world at an
elevation of 5,900 feet. The winters are mild, summers
are refreshing (temperatures generally range 20 -30
degrees below Phoenix!) and the majestic Mogollon Rim
inspires you to enjoy nature at its best. Christopher
Creek is a place where wildflowers bloom in the spring,
light breezes cool the summer months and the changing
leaves in the fall herald autumn's arrival. Mild snowfall
offers a winter wonderland for everyone.
The SECC was proud to present our August
Sunday Drive. We drove to Christopher
Creek, AZ to the Creekside Steakhouse. We
enjoyed a great drive up the Beeline Highway
and lunch at a great restaurant. This was a
great opportunity to get together with the
SECC members and guests for a great event!
